The implementation of dark mode across our favorite and commonly used software has really picked up the past few years, and for good reason. Dark Mode saves battery life and helps deal with eye strain, especially for those looking at the screen for hours on end. Thankfully, the Microsoft Edge browser has an inbuilt Dark Mode which we can easily turn on. The following guide is for the desktop version of Edge.
Head to Settings
As always, we head to the settings menu, which is in the top right of Edge, the button with the 3 dots. Once you click, a menu will appear. Click “Settings” right down the bottom.
We can get straight to where we need to be with the search box on the left-hand side of the settings panel. Type in the word “theme” or “dark”.
The above search should leave you with a single result on the right hand side, looking like below;
We want to click on where it says “System Default” on the right hand side and change this to Dark.
And there we have it! Our Edge browser should magically turn to the Dark theme and our eyes are saved.
