Fast-rising browser, Brave, and popular cryptocurrency exchange Binance, recently revealed a new a partnership aimed at facilitating seamless in-browser cryptocurrency trading.
The collaboration see’s Brave Browser implement a small Binance branded widget on the browsers user dashboard. The lightweight interface continues Brave’s mantra of respecting the users privacy, loading only when required.
The trading widget will allow traders to trade cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, Litecoin, XRP and many others directly on the home page of the browser interface. Binance will leverage OAuth to authenticate user interactions with the crypto trading widget whenever a person using the widget wants to make a crypto trade through the Binance widget.
“Cryptocurrency trading can be a daunting task for users not familiar with such assets, so integrating Binance into the Brave browser makes the process seamless and simple,” as pointed out Brave CEO and co-founder Brendan Eich.
The CEO also highlighted that the collaboration with Binance reinforced Brave’s commitment to bringing BAT and it’s unique ad-platform to the mainstream. Changpeng Zhao, the current CEO of Binance, said in a statement that the partnership with Brave will facilitate a safe and smooth way of trading cryptocurrencies, including BAT. Zhao also stated that his company looks forward to a continued long-term partnership with the browser.
The Binance widget for cryptocurrency trading is already available on nightly builds of Brave. However, the widget is slated for an official release in April 2020 in the stable version of the software. The widget will be available by default, although Brave users will have the option of disabling it if they wish. The two firms also plan to make the widget available on mobile platforms in the future, although the specifics including the date of mobile launch have not been announced.
