DuckDuckGo browser, not to be confused with the search engine of the same name, is a simple, privacy-focused web browser for use on Android and iOS.
Like most modern day browsers, we are given the option to change to dark mode to help some of that late night web browsing. The below article shows you how to turn on dark mode in the DuckDuckGo browser for both iOS and Android.
Turn on Dark Mode on iOS
First things first, head to the settings menu by hitting the three dots in the top right of the DuckDuckGo browser.
You will be presented with a small menu. From here, click “Settings”.
Once you land on the settings page you will see the section named “Theme”. If you running dark mode system wide on your iPhone, then DuckDuck Browser should align with that with the default setting of “System”. If not, simply hit “Theme” and we can change it manually.
Select “Dark” and that’s it!
Dark Mode on Android Browser
Android thankfully has the same option as the iOS version. Open up DuckDuckGo Browser on your Android device and select the 3 dots in the top right of the browser.
Select “Settings” which is way down the bottom of the list.
You will see the option for “Light Theme” is selected already, simply turn this to the “Off” position to turn dark mode on.
